  • Are We Truly Satisfied?

John 4:1-42. My sharing will be based on the story of Jesus and the Samaritan Woman. We know from the story that as Jesus was passing through Samaria, he stopped to rest at a well.

  • Life Values Through Basketball

I was invited to team Kairos by my history teacher Mr Stanley Tan. Before joining the team, i was playing casual basketball in school almost every single day. However, after the many training sessions i had with team Kairos, i found out that i still had a long way to go before becoming a good basketball player.

  • My First Basketball Game

As this is my first formal basketball game in my 20 years of life, I felt rather nervous. I was also lost on court. I have made mistakes and missed 3 out of 3 shots.

  • Taming The Tongue

James 3:7-9 People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison. Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God.

The One Who Will Be There For Me

In the first curriculum of this Crossroad league, we have learnt that everybody would have faced one of the darkest time in their lives, be it failing your studies, or breaking up with your girlfriend.

This is a story of my darkest time in my life. It was when my grandpa passed away last November. I remembered that the period of dark time I went through clearly. I felt devastated, felt helpless, and terrible. It felt nothing like I've felt before. But I couldn't cry in front of my family, especially my grandma. I had to be the pillar for them, so that they may not collapse.

But deep down inside me, I was hurting as much as them. I could only cry in my showers. Because I do not live with my parents due to growing up in a broken family, I had no one to rely on, or fall back on.

But as a Christian, I know I have this person who would be there for me no matter what. And that person was God himself. I know He would be there for me and carry me through this tough time. I prayed every night, and I know He hears my cries.

And slowly, He starts to heal me, and comfort my family. Although it still hurts me now and then to think about the matter, I know I can always turn to Him.
